This application serves as a comprehensive solution for micro-location tracking, integrating both iBeacon and GPS technologies to achieve highly precise device localization—within less than a meter under optimal conditions. It is capable of locating iOS devices both indoors and outdoors, regardless of GPS signal availability or internet connectivity.

BlueLocate is designed to operate effectively even when devices are in sleep mode or locked, which can be particularly advantageous in emergency situations such as natural disasters or accidents. In such critical contexts, the app’s ability to sharply reduce search areas, especially through proximity triangulation with multiple iBeacons, could potentially increase the likelihood of rescue. The app allows configuration with any iBeacon device via input of Proximity UUID or invites other nearby BlueLocate users to serve as temporary iBeacons, enhancing its versatility.

Additional functionalities include management of loan devices through geofencing alerts when devices enter or exit specific regions, along with self-monitoring of Bluetooth status, battery life, and motion detection. Its capacity to locate devices hidden beneath furniture or within confined spaces, even when in sleep or locked mode, adds to its utility.

The app is available for free download, requiring no login—user data is securely stored on iCloud—and supports unlimited devices under a single Apple ID. It is suitable for personal use and loan device management alike. For enhanced features, such as ad-free operation, configuring multiple geofence and iBeacon regions, monitoring other Apple IDs' devices, or manually setting up iBeacons, an in-app purchase is available.

It is important to note that BlueLocate is intended for locating devices and individuals within Bluetooth range; it should not be relied upon as a primary tool for rescue or search operations. Bluetooth Low Energy (4.0 or above) is necessary, and environmental factors may influence signal accuracy. While GPS can supplement positioning beyond Bluetooth range, actual distance measurement should be considered approximate. A valid iCloud account and internet connection are required for setup and operation.
